Gorbachov
Treehouse Session and Forthcoming Promo CD.

Ireland’s latest export, Gorbachov have been busy putting together some new tunes.  They’ve granted Distant Warning an exclusive listen to ‘People Skills’, a punchy tune that starts off with singer Brendan Feeney whispering, his voice quickly building to mega phone proportions as he takes us through a tale of people who are happy to swallow anything they’re told, from what to buy, to someone else’s idea of success.  There’s a touch of Matt Johnson somewhere in there which adds a dark edge to the song.

'Mr Fahrenheit' is the catchiest of these three, it’s thumping drum intro had me head banging in the kitchen from the beginning.  Inspired by a friend of the band back in Waterford, who is such a legend they just had to capture him in song.  If you like your rock heavy, you’ll love this and you’ll love Gorbachov.

The band intend to release 'People Skills' and 'Mr Fahrenheit' in the UK and Ireland as promo singles while they put the finishing touches to their forthcoming album.

'Cracking Me Up' is a  ballsy – riff driven song.  Once again the vocals have a slightly sinister hue to them, a kind of stream of conciousness jumble of words from which you can make of it what you will!

'Cracking Me Up' and 'Mr Fahrenheit' are available to listen to on www.MySpace.com/gorbachov whilst' People Skill's will get its first public airing at the Spraoi Festival in Waterford on 4th August.
